Uhma. Nice place, with veggie/ vegan options. next neighborhood form el centro (los cocos) very close from the house, about 6000 pesos in a taxi. nice atmosphere !

The nature is amazing, easily reachable by local bus (departs from mercado publico very close to the house, 15 min walk or 5 min cab ride) a neat place to stay for a few days or visit during the day. for those that love walking, beaches, and nature.

The nature is amazing, easily reachable by local bus (departs from mercado publico very close to the house, 15 min walk or 5 min cab ride) a neat place to stay for a few days or visit during the day. for those that love walking, beaches, and nature.
Minca is a small village just 40 min away from santa marta, aprox 1000mts above sea level, the weather is cool, you have good scenery and there is a nice natural pool (pozo azul). The local transport to mince also departs from mercado publico a 15 min walk form the house or a 5 min ride on a cab.

Minca is a small village just 40 min away from santa marta, aprox 1000mts above sea level, the weather is cool, you have good scenery and there is a nice natural pool (pozo azul). The local transport to mince also departs from mercado publico a 15 min walk form the house or a 5 min ride on a cab.
This fishermans village , has nice restaurants and you can walk along the coast to playa grande,. nice for a snorkel too. Is better in low season and weekdays as the beach is not so big and gets crowdy

this is a nice place to hike and enjoy its cascade with ponds. Bring food and water, go in the afternoons, is full in the mornings. Just catch the bus to parque tayrona, it will be about 20 minutes after the parque tayrona entrance. from the road you start walking to the little river (about 25 minutes). nice natural reserve

The place is a great scenery and has a couple of restaurants, so is a good plan to go there and spend the day even if you do not want to surf. Take the same bus to tayrona park, and stop at costeño beach entrance (just after crossing the mendihuaca river). from there walk 10 minutes or take a moto taxi to the river mouth.
