Revel coffee house (37 Market Place) is very much a community hub for the artistic community in Stratford. You never know who you’ll see buying biscuits and beans! ~ most actors from the Statford Festival buy their coffee here year round. Great vibe. Great beverages. Great time.

Balzac's Coffee (149 Ontario Street) is a popular chain that has carved out a very comfortable spot in the hearts of local Stratfordians. We personally tend to go here when we’re seeking a little more anonymity and a broader local vibe. Located right along the main shopping drag.

Tea Leaves (433 Erie Street) is my favourite place to buy premium loose leaf teas. It’s not a shop where you buy and sit down to drink, but rather buy and head back home to make (although, there are tea tasting sessions you can buy with Karen Hartwick, the tea sommelier who runs and owns the shop— and her depth of knowledge all things tea runs deep!) My personal favourite from here is the Houji Kukicha stick tea, from the green tea plant. Toasty. Calcium rich. So. Very. Good. Only open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am-5pm.

The Little Green Grocery (129 Downie Street) is a fantastic boutique grocery store that specializes in the plastic free delivery of local produce, frozen meats and condiments direct from local farmers and artisans. And there's a lovely surprise waiting for you at the back of the store -- a delicious kitchen that makes bread daily, sandwiches, salads, frozen meals, pastries and healthy bites that you can grab on the go. They offer vegan, vegetarian and carnivore diets alike!

Rheo Thompson Candies (55 Albert Street) is home to the famous Stratford "Mint Smoothie" chocolate -- locals will often buy a box of these and gift them while traveling abroad to give friends "a taste of Stratford".

Mercer Hall (104 Ontario Street) has a tasty menu. Great chill vibe. Lovely evening ambiance. Any of their fried chicken dishes are winners. But everything is good here.

Foster's Inn has two unique spaces: one alley-like eating area with some couches, cozy corners, and easy access to the bar -- and on the other side, a more spacious traditional dining area. Great date night spot. Super chill vibe. Nice steak.
