Some of the best culinary delights that Malaysia has to offer are not at the swanky overpriced restaurants but right at the sidewalks, in the rows and rows of hawker stalls. On Jalan Alor, these stalls will take up both sides of the road selling food that best represents Malaysia. 3. Dinner at Suzie’s Corner. The steaks at Suzi’s Corner are a steal and come with a generous serving of sauce, chips and greens on the side. 4. Drinks/dinner Downstairs at Drift. A modern Australian Dining and Bar located in the heart of KL. Established in 2014, it has become a house hold name synonymous with quality 5. Dinner or lunch at Sao Nam. Sao Nam is one of the few Vietnamese Restaurants nearby, great ambience and pretty decent fare. SHOPPING : ONE OF THE WORLD’S TOP SHOPPING DESTINATIONS IS IN THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD - Pavilion – It is very much similar to KLCC where you can find a combination of high end brands such as Christian Dior, Emporium Armani, Cartier, Tissot as well as the every day stores such as Daiso and Watson’s. There is quality control and balance between higher end and affordable brands. - BB Plaza &Sungai Wang – Many decades of budget and fun shopping – these interconnected cheap and cheerful malls are the KL shopping institution. - Central Market – The central market, while tourisy, is still so nice to visit and browse around the shops which sell local Asian clothes, furniture and gifts in a centrally air-conditioned old structure building. An awesome restaurant there is called “Precious” – fantastic old school Asian vide and good nyonya food.
