A fairly new restaurant, Sasso's has achieved such a stellar reputation for excellence that it is doubling its dining room space. Located right on the main street of Torrington, it is right next door to the Warner Theatre. Every bite we've taken there has been worth savoring! We recommend the roasted clams; we order those every time, no matter what else we will be ordering.

Outstanding! A gem in a rural area that would stand out anywhere. Marge and I really enjoyed going there with friends, everyone we know who has been there raves about it in all the same ways we have, including our Airbnb guests. Worth the short drive to New Marlborough, MA.

Everyone we know who has been to Great Falls Brewing Company has had a terrific time...and recommends it highly. The neighboring towns of Great Falls and Canaan are gems unto themselves for a variety of reasons, so add one more gem to the list of reasons to visit there.

The Warner Theatre is a stunningly beautiful Art Deco theatre opened in 1931. We've enjoyed many events there, including just yesterday, a live performance of Disney's The Little Mermaid. Even without the events, the theatre is worth seeing all on its own! Only 12 miles from Pineapple Hill Farm and right next door to Sasso's Cole Fired Pizza.

"The 34 foot high stone tower at the summit of Haystack Mountain (1716 feet above sea level) allows visitors to see the Berkshires, and peaks in Massachusetts, New York, and the Green Mountains of Vermont.
A roadway provides access halfway up the mountain. Prominent along the road is a spectacle of foliage in the fall and an outstanding show of mountain laurel in June. From the end of the road there is a rugged half-mile trail to the top. Allow about half an hour for this walk if you are not a seasoned hiker."
