Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and canal was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2009. The Aqueduct consists of a continuous group of civil engineering features, built between 1795 and 1808 by Thomas Telford and William Jessop. There are boat trips and a visitors centre.

The boardroom is a massive bouldering and climbing centre and is ideal for children and families. They do fun taster sessions (£15 for 1hour) but it may be better to pay for an Introduction session as you can then spend as much time as you want there. Best to phone and book and they can talk you through the options.

The leisure centre has a large ice skating rink open to the public, plus for those who don't wish to skate, they can relax in the cafe or take a visit to the Afon Spa within the building. The spa is very reasonably priced!

White water rafting on the Afon Tryweryn in Snowdonia. This is good adrenaline stuff for all the family :) We've done this ourselves and it's good value for money.
Only 20 minute drive away, the Theatre is very popular with the locals and within walking distance of Mold town centre.

This is a National Trust property within a 15 minute drive. Built at the end of the 1600s and mainly passed down through the Yorke family. It well preserved as a victorian stately home, with beautiful grounds. More fascinating are the stories about Erddig's servants which are in abundance.

Moel Famau is the highest peak in the area and has a few paths to chose from. Recommended to park in the bottom car park (take a couple of £ for parking charges). There's also a great park for children to play in here.
