A nice place, especially for families as you can get there by the red train from the train station in Tatranska Lomnica in about 1 hour. There you can walk around the LAKE Strbske Pleso or go for a short and comfortable hike to Jamnicke Pleso. The trains run every hour. From Tatranska Lomnica at 34 min past every hour.

Starý Smokovec
This town can be approached by the red train running from Tatranska Lomnica 34 mins after every hour. The journey takes about 20 mins. The tickets can be bought at the train station or you can use your phone to buy it, but it is more expensive. You can even walk there or back as there is a path about 6 km alongside the road and it is a nice and pleasant walk

In Poprad, in the town you can enjoy nice cafes, there is a good restaurant Hodovna or a vegetarian restaurant VEG. There is also a big shopping centre called FORUM and everything within walking distance from the train station.

A fantastic thermal water pool. Unfortunately, you'd better go there by car as the public transport takes ages. Sorry. The pool is not a nice one but the water is excellent. Buy the more expensive ticket as it is nice and clean pool.
