Maine is loaded with great food and fantastic views. Here are a few of my favorites:)
The Bar Harbor Inn is elegant, traditional and extremely tasteful. Enjoy the beautiful lobby, reading room restaurant or my favorite: the Terrace for a scrumptious meal. I highly recommend the "Lobster in a bread boule"! The grounds and gardens are exquisite. And the rooms: luxurious! They offer a full breakfast and there's an ocean front walkway that takes you past some incredible old world homes.

Maine's Mt Desert Island is famous for its old world elegance and the Asticou Inn delivers! Popovers (pictured) and lobster stew are the specialties. The view of Northeast Harbor is magnificent, the food delicious, the service commendable. Across the street are the Asticou Azalea Gardens- beautiful! and just down the road is the Thuya Garden, my favorite. (Ask them for directions)

My mother used to say she could tell if lobster was cooked over hardwood, gas or electricity ...I don't know if that's possible but lobster connoisseurs definitely want their lobsters cooked over hardwood and Trenton Bridge does it right! Wonderful people, terrific lobster! And, they ship anywhere. You won't get a more authentic lobster pound experience than here. They are closed on Sunday.
