On the east side of Buckie, near the area of Portessie or "The Sloch" as it's locally known, lies the sandy beach of Strathlene on the rugged Moray Coast. It is a very picturesque little cove and was a popular destination in the 1930s due to its now-defunct outdoor swimming pool which has been reclaimed by the sea/coastal erosion.

Cullen is an attractive, golden sandy beach to the west of the village of the same name. It overlooks Cullen Bay, which gives the waters here some degree of shelter from the strongest currents, making it a good beach for swimming and snorkelling. The beach is perhaps best known for its rock formation; The Three Kings beach stack. Legend has it that these 4 metre tall quartzite stacks are the grave stones of three Norse Kings who died at the Battle of Bauds in 962. Cullen Links Golf Club can be found behind the beach, with views over the bay. The beach is also popular for water sports such as surfing and sailing, and for fishing. Dolphins are common along this stretch of coastline, and if you’re lucky you may catch a glimpse of a pod. Free parking is available underneath the railway viaduct which offers direct access on to the beach. Toilets are now open here in summer. Next to the car park is a grassy area with picnic tables offering excellent views of the town, beach, and surrounding coastline.

FINDLATER CASTLE DATES BACK TO the 13th century. The beautiful ruins are built into the cliff edge on a small peninsula, some 50 feet or so above the water and rocky beach below, offering spectacular views of the surrounding Scottish landscape. The name of the castle is believed to come from the Gaelic fionn leitir, which means “white cliff” referring to the quartz in the rock. The structure that remains today dates from a 14th century reconstruction after the castle had been taken over by Viking invaders. The dovecot nearby has been dated to the 16th or 17th centuries. It's located two miles from Cullen and has brown tourist attraction signs leading to the car park. The address will take you to a small car park by a farm. Walk behind farm and down the track by the beehive dovecot. At the end of the track you will see the castle over the edge. A trip down to the castle is definitely worth it as the best views aren't seen from the top view point. Be careful as path is steep and cliff edge exposed at some parts

Lecht 2090 is based 2090 feet (645m) above sea level amid the beauty of the Eastern Cairngorms. The Lecht Activity Centre is situated in the heart of Scotland’s largest National Park at the top of the pass between Tomintoul and Strathdon. The Lecht is the smallest of the 5 ski centres in Scotland but it still packs plenty of punch. Started in 1977 there wasn't much there before a layby big enough for 3 cars and a cattle grid. The ability to attract and hold snow it was the ideal place, the idea was to to develop an area that was more suitable for beginners.
