This is an amazing place - it feels comfortable and welcoming from the first. You are handed a menu and told how and where to order, and how to get your drinks. The portions are remarkable , and taste like your favorite grandma was in the back cooking. The staff, including the owner are friendly and accessible, and seem genuinely interested in making sure you're having a good time. I had the chicken wings and waffle, and LOVED it. This is definitely a place that lives up to the hype.

Conveniently located in the Winbern strip in Midtown Houston, Spicy Girl offers up classic spicy Sichuan cuisine that holds a reputation for its variety of seasonings as each dish requires different cooking methods.

Good fast Vietnamese food.
The inside of the place is nicely decorated, an upgrade from a standard Vietnamese fast food restaurant.
The beef pho is probably a solid 3 as the flavor of the broth is not quite deep as some of the others. The meat, slices type, is bit tough not sure if it is inherent of the meat or the way it is cooked. Rice plates are good. Very flavorful chicken pork or beef. Again be watchful of tougher cuts.
The menu is not helpful as it does not list out what cut of the meat is used. So if you don’t eat certain cuts, such as tripe, tendon, pig hock, ask before you order.

The Ecuadorian llapinguchos were amazing and the achiote sauce was superb. Staff was just amazing and the food was absolutely delicious!! Their presentation was everything! I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family as well as y'all reading! I went during their breakfast time so it was very quiet.

I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family as well as y'all reading! I went during their breakfast time so it was very quiet.
Things to do !
The Escape Hunt facility is well-decorated, clean, and able to accommodate our relatively large corporate group for an evening event. The owners, Jim and Jan, were extremely helpful, hard-working, and friendly as they made sure all of the details were handled for our event.

Walking into this place was like taking a major trip down memory lane! There seemed to be almost a limitless supply of retro games, pinball, air hockey, and entertainment!

Beautiful trails, well kept, feels safe with plenty of others always running/walking/biking along with you, take one leave one box to Trade books, water fountains every mile or two, clean bathrooms every 3 miles or so.

Even in full sun the arboretum is a good place for a walk in the woods in the middle of Houston. It is fairly heavily wooded and the shade is welcome on a cool day, a necessity in the summer. In the spring it is a marvelous place to see wildflowers and wild strawberries. We’ve never seen much wildlife except for egrets but friends have been quite lucky to see a variety of migrating song birds. One of my favorite Houston spots.

Houston Arboretum & Nature Center
4501 Woodway DrEven in full sun the arboretum is a good place for a walk in the woods in the middle of Houston. It is fairly heavily wooded and the shade is welcome on a cool day, a necessity in the summer. In the spring it is a marvelous place to see wildflowers and wild strawberries. We’ve never seen much wildlife except for egrets but friends have been quite lucky to see a variety of migrating song birds. One of my favorite Houston spots.
