Be sure to make reservations. If you're renting a car arrive early since it get's full early in the morning. Also, bring a thick coat or sweater since the temperatures at 10,800 feet get kind of cold. It's a must see and you will love the views weather you take the sunrise of sunset views.

Paia

Paia, Maui reflects its heritage as a unique Hawaiian plantation village that originated in the latter half of the nineteenth century. The first mill was constructed in the 1870’s as the sugar industry took hold on Maui. Paia Town was established later in 1896 with the founding of a company store for plantation workers. There are many small shops and restaurants that serve local food. Very nice.

Lahaina is a location that is experienced by two million people, or approximately 80% percent of all of Maui tourism per year. Lahaina has over a thousand years of rich history, and was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii from 1820 to 1845. From beaches to restaurants, Lahaina has some of the best attractions Maui has to offer. Lahaina's Front Street has been ranked one of the "Top Ten Greatest Streets" by the American Planning Association. Enjoy a relaxing stroll, and if rest is needed, please take a break under the massive Banyan tree located in the town square.
