My favorite parks within a few miles
I love to hike, bike and run outdoors. These are my
favorite places near my home.
3575 acres park with excellent trails to run or hike. My favorite trails are the green and the yellow that follow a creek. You can park your car for free at the Saint George Parish and follow green trail from the SW corner of the parking lot.
Park has several playgrounds, an Open air theater and two Nature centers. The Princeton Astronomical society has a small planetarium with free programs.
The park is also an easy 10 minute walk from my house.

Washington Crossing State Park Visitors Center

quite stunning from the look out tower. I love to sit on a bench by the creek or the pond and read.

Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve
1635 River RdThis protected land has the most beautiful blue bell and trillium fields I have ever seen.
Best time to visit : April -May, but summer flowers here are also beautiful. Huge prickly pear patches line the roads.

Small visitor center with restrooms on the top, they also have binoculars and the view is really wonderful.
One could also bike up to the top, I have not made it all the way yet. It is definitely a challenge.:) Parking lot is on Fiddler's creek road.

28 Fiddlers Creek RdBest short hike in our area, especially with kids.
