This is a list of shops in downtown St. Augustine, and beyond which we love.
This store is a gem. Peaceful and friendly. They have a variety of women's clothing and home decor items. It is located in the very center of town. The owners and staff will make you feel at home. There is a peaceful spiritual aspect to the store, and you might enjoy contributing to their prayer wall if you are so inclined. Our daughter, Trudye, is one of their sales associates. We love this store.

Our Favorite Restaurants
Just a short list of some of our favorite spots.
Only a couple of blocks from Palm Gate Guest House, this is a popular spot. Highly recommended, may have a wait, but it is worth it. . Breakfast Mimosas are their specialty, in addition to Zada Jane's Stack (our daughter's favorite: sweet potato home fries, sausage frittata, cheddar, scallions, side biscuit).

The Blue Hen Café
117 M L King AveOnly a couple of blocks from Palm Gate Guest House, this is a popular spot. Highly recommended, may have a wait, but it is worth it. . Located in a beautiful restored house about 3 blocks from Palm Gate Guest House, this restaurant is upscale. We love the brunch and have had wonderful dinners there. It is a bit pricey, but nice for special occasions.

Nice atmosphere, great happy hour and bar food. You can sit inside or out on the porch weather permitting. Mondays after a big weekend sometimes yield a limited menu, but still very nice staff and quick seating at that point.

If you've ever wanted to try a burger where the buns are two donuts...this is the place. The decor is adorable, service is great. You will have to drive out toward the beach for this place, but "TheSpare Tire Burger" is yummy. "The School Bus" (burger where the buns are two grilled cheese sandwiches) how could you go wrong :-).

You will have to drive out toward the beach for this place, but "TheSpare Tire Burger" is yummy. "The School Bus" (burger where the buns are two grilled cheese sandwiches) how could you go wrong :-).
A classic! Very popular, we have not had a bad meal here. The roof top deck is a fun place as is the outdoor deck downstairs. We are not too fond of the indoor space downstairs as it is a little loud. Great food.
