Cornwall Park is nice if you feel like some fresh air. You can walk or drive to the top of One Tree Hill. There are lambs there in the spring time, as well as cows. Also a the new cafe there is worth a visit.

This is a great relaxed restaurant. Al Brown the chef is well known in New Zealand. It's very relaxed and you can't book but I think it's worth the wait.

If you're a bit older and feel like going out for a drink, Pineapple on Parnell is great fun. They have someone playing the piano most nights they are open. It's probably more fun for the older generation though.
