Lovely inner city bush walk, highly recommended. For best bush experience enter from either 210 Onewa Road or 206 Hinemoa St, walk to exit at 151 Hinemoa St (check out on Google Maps). Then return to Birkenhead shops.

Lookout built in 2016 with panoramic views over Le Roys Bush and Auckland City. Can also eat at the cafe based there.

Drive all the way down Colonial Rd to the Chelsea Sugar Factory carpark. Great views across to the Harbour Bridge and the city, lovely area with walking tracks.

Getting Around
Ferry to the City. Get there by driving or take the 957 bus (I think it runs every half hour during weekdays, hourly weekends - but check first!) from bus stop at 63 Birkenhead Ave. Ferry to the City goes under the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Best place to catch a bus into the city. You can catch pretty much any bus going down the road, but still check with the driver! On the way home, check with the driver that the bus is going to/close to the Highbury Shops. Also download the 'AT Metro' app - it's not very good but does have a journey planner.
