Without doubt, the best kebab in town and a great location. Right at the heart of Chorlton, this is only a short walk from my house. If you fancy spending a night out of the city centre, this is a great place to start because there are bars galore all around this area.

A beautiful Victorian park about 5 minutes walk from my house. They have recently restored Alex Park to its former grandeur and it is well worth a walk around. The tree tunnel looks amazing in every season and there is a cafe right in the centre with good coffee and a range of food.

The best place to learn about Manchester's industrial and rebellious heritage. A free museum, it offers some essential knowledge of the rich history of this city such as the formation of the trade union movement and the Peterloo Massacre.

Recently refurbished, this is well worth a walk around. When you are walking around this area of town, remember to look up! You can fully appreciate the detail of the architecture by looking at the ornamentation around the roofs of these old buildings.
