LOVE THIS PARK!!! great place to go for a small adventure, pack a picnic, go for a run, a bike ride, people watch, etc. Check out the boathouse for sure! There is ice skating by the lake in the winter and roller skating during the summer. Alcohol is technically not permitted but if you want to pack a picnic, bring plastic cups and just don't be rowdy about it and you should be fine, though I can't guarantee it, I do it with friends all the time. I would advise picnicing near one of the bathrooms which are open all day (The whole park is on google maps). During the summer months look up Smorgusburg (food) & Prospect Park Bandshell (music). www.prospectpark.org
