It's Victorian glasshouse has a range of reptiles worth walking around, views across the city from the flag pole, municipal tennis courts which you can book, a bandstand which sometimes has live acts and is generally a great place for picnics, going for a run or sitting and reading a book. Just outside the park, there is also a Farmers' Market on the first Saturday of the month which sells the usual locally-sourced meats, jams, chocolates etc and often great samosas and curries.
