One of the best known hidden gems of Melbourne, a spectacular array of lotus', water lilies available in this seasonal display of over 50,000 sqm2!
Home to Australia's largest water lily, the Giant Amazon Lily. The grounds are wonderfully tropic and tranquil, only open during a few months of the year.
This location requires a car to visit and is close to the Yarra Valley :)

Parks & Nature
Stunning, peaceful, gorgeous, tranquil, spectacular - so many adjectives, so little time to describe this most iconic of parks in Melbourne. Filled with lakes and an abundance of greenery, there is even a lake with a boat you can ride.
For a city that is well known for it's parks like Melbourne, the Royal Botanical Gardens are the epitome of all parks here. The selection of plants, trees and flowers seen here are incredible, visit the many displays scattered around this beautiful park.
Open from sun up to sun set, be sure to check out this lovely place. Especially since it is within spitting distance of this location, enjoy picnics galore everyday if you wish!

If you fancy a cool alcoholic beverage during a warm summer's day, go to the place just by the river - it's an excellent hipster hangout for all alike.
