Drinks & Nightlife

Bar Triskel- they are open all year and you can have your morning coffee (get a croissant from the bakery around the corner), lunch snack or night cap her. Lovely terrace in summer with amazing view of the cathedral. In winter, the pub (indoors) is a cozy and very quiet place. One of our favourites!

Food Scene

Auberge Lasplate - Gourmand dinner in an old farmhouse, cooked by the lady of the house, and served by the farmer. You will be served a set 5 course dinner (it's all about the canard) seated at a long 50seat table with mostly french diners. Great atmosphere and a must see/dine in the area, but make sure you work up a good appetite (fasting for 1-2 days is definitely something to consider) before going there. Need to reserve ahead of time, because they don't do dinner every night. Ask us for the phone number or to assist with reservations if you would like to go one night. Beaumont's weekly night market (Monday nights during the summer months) starts at 19.00 and features local delicacies & wines, as well as great music (typically starting at 21.00). You can order food & drink from the stalls or (completely or partially) take your own. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as you will be tempted to dance in the village square with hundreds of other visitors when the beat starts to resonate. The crowd is a wild mix of French and foreigners, with a majority of... British! We love it here, and we consider this a must see during your visit to the area.

The cathedral here is another UNESCO World Heritage site - so beautiful and serene - a must-see in the area.
