Sightseeing

An imposing chateau that is available to explore with amazing views from the towers. It is perched on a hill with a twisting path up which has various quirky boutiques en route. Also three very nice places to stop off at for a drink or something to eat. Big medieval festival held here in July.

So much to see here just over an hours drive from Montcabrier. Rocamadour, Domme, Sarlat, all famous medieval places with wonderful sights to see. The famous prehistoric caves of Lascaux are nearby too. The great thing is the roads are always empty and makes the driving so easy and stress free. Lots of castles to visit, the choice is amazing.

Lovely market here on Tuesdays. Food, clothes, basket ware etc visit the market, enjoy a beer at La Bellevue and then stroll down to the river for lunch followed by a boat ride down the river. Good supermarket here with fresh fish delivered regularly and has a petrol station,. Nice shop with local wines and produce situated in old railway tunnel called Le Tunnel!
