We are in love with Falafel Republic. They gave giant falafel sandwiches and great vegetarian and vegan options. They also have plenty of parking (which is sometimes scarce in Ashland).

Medford has an all-vegan restaurant! Great spot for a healthy lunch. They are open M-Th 11-7 and 11-2 on Fridays.

This little brew pub is close by. They have American food classics plus a separate vegan menu we love. We especially like the vegan chicken tacos.

Parks & Nature
Mt. Ashland is only a 35-40 minute drive from Medford. It is a great spot for hiking, seeing wildflowers, and camping in the summer and downhill and cross-country in the winter. Plus the view is amazing!

Roxy Ann peak is a short 15-minute drive from Medford. There are a number of hiking trails that range from moderate to steep/difficult. The views of the valley are stunning and the spring wildflowers are gorgeous!

If you are in the mood for some hiking and bouldering, Pilot Rock is your spot. The hike is moderate and involves some rock-climbing towards the top. The view is worth all the trouble.

Lower Table Rock is a well-maintained (and well used) hiking trail nearby. The hike takes a couple hours round trip. We love it for the spectacular wildflowers and unique upland wet-meadows. This is a great hike for the young ones too. Just note that dogs aren't allowed on this hike to protect wildlife.

If you are staying in the Tiny House, Lazy creek is just outside your door! Just walk down our driveway and hang a left and you'll be walking on a short walking path along the creek. It's a great place to stretch your legs or walk with your fur friend.
