Our favorite for a treat outing. Very quaint and unique place on Salt Spring. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Excellent menu - and good live music most nights in the summer. They always have a good line up of artists performing in the evenings and it's truly a Salt Spring "must see". Get there early for lunch or supper. It fills up fast!

Only a few minutes away from the house, Penny's Pantry is a quaint little cafe on the golf course. We love the Sunday breakfast buffet. They have really good coffee and baked goods too.

Great location and good coffee right on main street. The outdoor patio can be sunny or shady as needed and always lots of good people watching from their great corner location. In summer the "Bean Freeze" is a very special treat!

Closest to the house, Country Grocer has a large selection of vitamin and other supplements. Plenty of organics and a nice deli. Recently they bought the Pharmasave next door and so now also contains a pharmacy. Lots of parking.

If you are adventurous, find out where the rope swing is along the shore. During the day this is a great place to paddleboard. We recommend Gigi's Paddleboard Rentals. There are cards in the house. She delivers the paddleboards to you.

Vesuvius Beach is a minute drive from the house. It gets all the afternoon and evening sun. It's a shallow bay, so the water is quite warm. Recommend a sunset paddle with Gigi's Paddleboard Rentals. She delivers paddleboards to you. Usually it's very calm in the evening - perfect for paddleboarding as the sun goes down.

There are amazing views from Mount Maxwell. There is a decent road nearly to the top where there is a parking lot. It's an easy hike up to a few different lookout spots. This is just one of the many, many hiking places on Salt Spring.

1930 Fulford-Ganges RoadThere are amazing views from Mount Maxwell. There is a decent road nearly to the top where there is a parking lot. It's an easy hike up to a few different lookout spots. This is just one of the many, many hiking places on Salt Spring.
Excellent trails for walking or cycling. Incredible views. Parking available at trailhead.
