This is an easy and beautiful hike to a nice sized waterfall that leads you down a soft wooded path which meanders along the stream below. It's nice and cool in the summer and is easy to get to the base of the waterfall if you want to jump in and cool off. It's stunning in the winter time too.

There is a nice hike around the lake and we've been told there is very good fishing here. If you like to mountain bike, this is a good trail for that.

I love this spot for kayaking or paddle boarding. They have a little dock for fishing and they have another dock with a ladder for swimming. The water is warmer than the river and it's just lovely. You park in a day visitor spot and walk to the lake. If you have paddle boards or kayaks, you may enter the camping area to unload closer to the lake but then you must park in the day visitors area. They have bathrooms there. If you have kids, walking across the man made bridge from the parking lot to the lake is a fun place for them to play in the water.

Sharon's is a bakery that serves a delicious breakfast burrito and has doughnuts and pastries. They also make sandwiches to your exact specifications, (lots of options), and also serves delicious soups. It's a great place to buy bread and cinnamon rolls.

1411 Canyon StIt's the closest place to see a movie. Approximately 20 minutes from Porthill.
They have a large indoor pool, big hot tub and comprehensive work out facility. Their day pass is less than $5 US dollars. They ave an ATM there or you can pay with your credit card. They also have hockey games you can attend in the winter.

Great for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. It's a 5 minute drive to the closest dock or you can enter the river off of Copeland Rd by the bridge. It's just beautiful to be on the water and surrounded by mountain views and farmland.
