Extraordinary experience the slant tower of Pisa. But please do buy the 5 x ticket for the Duomo and the museums, too. It gives you a complete impression of the Italy of 1080 till 1500 at this location. Watch out for pickpockets and when you buy touristic stuff, they might not put your sales into the paper bag.... :-( also elsewhere so extremely touristic.....!
Tip, the piazza at night during summer is just awesome for lighting, people hanging and playing guitar.

2 products of Lari became world famous (in all 5 continents)... the very very special spaghetti of Martelli family and the liquor of the Meini family (cherry liquor is the internationslly known product of the cherry area in Tuscany on Lari hills) as well as the herb liquor. The Meini family is a well known family in Lari and hosted in houses with even the bathroom with frescos.

Buy your food from the locals. Local (biologic) organic fruit and vegetables, pasta, wine, oil etc. There is no way you ever tasted something like this even from your organic grocery....! Right from the plant hours ago onto your table for great cooking in our well equipped kitchen.

At 10 min. driving Roman Thermal Baths are the origin of Casciana Terme. Entrance fees are very very economic as still an insider tip. You can enjoy the inside and oudoor spa and it's park with it's great massage jets and waterfalls helping your skin and muscles after a whole day of tourism.
In summer time they have night opening hours. Ask at Casciana Terme or look up the brochure at the guest's corner in my house.
