Parks & Nature
Gorgeous Bay and relatively calm most of the time but you should use good judgement based on the conditions and your swimming experience and ability. The scenery is unbeatable and the water is clear from the top to the bottom of the ocean floor. Restrooms on site. Take lots of sunscreen and shade cover. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Get there early for the best parking options.

Costco......do I need to explain this?
One tip: Costco makes Hawaiian poke but their fish is most times previously frozen. If you want fresher poke go to KTA Stores in Kona and Keauhou.

Start out early in the morning and see all that there is to see and do on the BIG ISLAND.

Hawi is a quaint little town with small town shops and places to eat.
The best part is the spectacular drive to get there. Driving along the coastline is amazing and take the high road to make the round trip home. You will have to ask where the road is because it isnʻt marked very well but once you are on it, it will take your breath away. At the junction you can choose to come back to Kona or head to Waimea town.
I highly recommend the drive for the scenery alone. Hawi Town is a bonus. If you are lucky and are visiting during Whale Season, it is highly likely that you will see the whales breaching off the coast line.
SO AWESOME!!
