Lovely interesting homemade food. A great walking destination from the cottage for an afternoon with craft galleries to explore. Make sure to check out Janice McGloin's studio in the garden.

Wonderful topiary gardens and an interesting ancient house. The property is still in private ownership so the opening hours can be a bit irregular so check in advance

a lovely walk through tree lined glens with roaring waterfalls. At the top on a hot day you can swim in the pool at Thornton Force. Lots of steps! There is a charge for the car park.
