This park is about a half mile from the house and has the best view of the Mississippi River in town. It’s a great place to go for a walk/jog, to go skating, or just to enjoy a nice day. Watch the riverboats and barges go by.

We are only a short drive from the French Quarter, the crown jewel of the city. I would recommend going to see St Louis Cathedral at the heart of the quarter. It is the oldest cathedral in North America. Whether for spirituality or just sight seeing it is an experience to attend Sunday mass.

As someone who grew up next to New York City, I rate this Italian mom and pop pizza place the best in New Orleans. It is not far from the house and we order from them weekly. The gelato is great too.

This is the oldest and most iconic part of the city. We are only 2.5 miles to the edge of the French Quarter. There is too much to say about it so I will just encourage you to go explore and enjoy all that it has to offer.
