Sightseeing
Just 10 minutes by car , 20 minutes by bike or a 50 minute walk passing the Stour river then going through meadows and reed beds this is a beautiful beach which is less busy than Bournemouth beach.
Long open stretches of beach and sand dunes, it is also a nature reserve and site of historic interest .
Great for a family day out on the beach , golfing or walking by the sea or through the woods.
Cafes: Hungry Hiker near car park at the start of Hengistbury Head. From here you can walk or take a little land train to the end where there are more sandy beaches; a row of beach huts and a great little cafe serving coffees , beers & cocktails , pizza and more. You can also take a ferry across to Mudeford harbour from here.

12 minutes by car , Bournemouth pier, beach , gardens and town is great for a classic seaside holiday day out. Have fun on the pier and beach, walk through Bournemouth Lower, Central and Upper Gardens into the town itself where you will find plenty of eateries, coffee shops and shops.
Year round attractions in the gardens include mini-golf, a bandstand, refreshments and aviary. There is a play park in the Central gardens with zip wire , swings and slides .

You can reach famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic coast within a 1 hour drive ( depending on traffic of course). Stunning scenery and site of historical interest.
