This Information Centre is only open from Easter until the end of September. It has lots of information on the local area and there are exhibitions held in the upstairs gallery. There are a lot of artists in this area and their work is sometimes on display.

This building was previously a Presbyterian Church but has recently been refurbished and hosts a wide range of groups from Abba Tribute Bands to Classical Music. It also has a Maritime Museum showing the shipbuilding history of the area.

Essentials
There are 3 main grocery stores where you can purchase any essentials you might need, 2 close at 9pm and the 1 at the garage stays open until 10pm. There's also a petrol station and a Post Office. If you aren't from Northern Ireland you will find it strange that alcohol isn't sold in our grocery stores, our licensing laws are different and it can only be sold in Off Licences, there is 1 in Portaferry which stays open until 10.30pm.
