Hiking
This is one of our favorite hikes! Near Hot Springs, NC in the Pisgah National Forest.
There are 2 easy trails. A short loop-1.4 miles and a long loop-2.4 miles.
Scenic views, high elevation and the Appalachian Trail.
It’s off the beaten path, so if visiting on the weekend, it’s not very crowded.

One of my family's favorite activities in NC is to rent a pontoon boat on Lake Glenville for a fun filled day of sightseeing(beautiful waterfalls and mountain scenery), swimming, fishing, tubing and picnicking on the boat!
Lake Glenville is a reservoir located 8 miles from Cashiers NC, 15 miles south of Western Carolina. The Lake has 26 miles of shoreline and is the highest elevation of any lake east of the Mississippi and worth the drive if you have the time.
