Want to boil a lobster? You will have the cooking utensils to do so.
You will also find some games and coloring books and crayons for the younger ones to keep them entertained if you do decide to cook on the BBQ Grill on the outdoor deck! Check out the descriptions under the photos for more information.
What's important is that you enjoy your visit and relax. All is well.
We are in a peninsula surrounded by a network of islands, the ocean, bays, and the Goose Bay March - a Duck Unlimited project to protect land resources for waterfowl preservation. Watch the wild sea ducks and geese, shorebirds and migratory fowl as bird watching, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, relaxing, and stargazing are all in the realm of possibilities while staying at Shangri-La.
We are in Glenwood, Yarmouth County, part of the area designated as a UNESCO South West Nova Biosphere Reserve "zone of cooperation." Southwestern Nova Scotia is one of 18 reserves in Canada, selected for its ecological and cultural features, and one of only 650 UNESCO Biosphere Reserves worldwide.
The Acadian Shores is North America's first starlight destination. On clear nights, get outside, and enjoy the view of a brilliant milky-way. Stargazing is a sport in Shangri-La.
Remind yourself to bring your camera and photograph the milky way!
There is also a convenience store 10 minutes away in Tusket. There are excellent restaurants in the area, a stargazing observatory in Quinan, SUP rentals, boat tours to the Tusket Islands, or go whale watching. Enjoy culinary experiences, or you can boil your lobster with seawater at home, visit the area museums, and the The Argyle Township Court House & Gaol, the oldest standing courthouse in Canada.
