River
“This has to be one of my favourites. On a magic day this fast paced thrilling ride through the canyons doesn't compare to any video game. You may get wet if you sit in the back left or right corners ”

Lake
“Child friendly walk up to a small hidden lake. Decent hill at the beginning but easy from there - our 5 and 8 year old managed it. You could take a buggy, but would have to navigate the style at the bottom.”

“Free walking tour Queenstown At 10am and 2pm every day a great "free" (works for tips) walking tour departs from the beach (memorial archway). “A little bit remote and hard to find, this track is a steep 30-40mins up to a small dam. From there you walk along a pipeline to a platform with mind-blowing views back across towards Queenstown.”

“My favourite walk 1.5hrs, easy walk, in Arrowntown, go to Sawpit Gully Walk in the Bush Creek Reserve. Park in the big carpark by the river and turn left, walk over the wee bridge or walk through the stream, and walk towards the west. When you come to trail markers near the big water pipe you will see Sawpit Gully Walk. Also on google Maps”

“Skippers Canyon is a historic and incredibly scenic gorge that spans across 22 kilometres (13.7 miles). It can be accessed from Queenstown through the same road that leads to the Coronet Peak ski field. Skippers Canyon is a popular stopover for heritage cruises, jet boating and bungee jumping. Not for the faint hearted! ”
