Scenic Lookout
“St Columba Falls For those who delight in falling water, St Columba Falls is one of Tasmania's highest multi-tiered waterfalls - and is truly spectacular! There is a high quality walking track, through cool and shady rainforest, that leads to a viewing platform at the base of these stunning falls. Rated as a Grade 2 Walk - with a moderate uphill walk to return from the falls - some fitness is required. For those unable or unwilling to take the walk, the falls can be viewed from the car park. Getting Here: Travel along the Tasman Highway (A3) towards St Helens from Scottsdale, and then turn onto road C428 from Pyengana. This is a sealed road all the way. Where is it? 15 minutes west of Fairfield House, Goshen. ”

“Indulge your taste buds by trying their delicious cheddars. Lunch options are great . We had the most amazing scones with jam and cream as well as a lovely hot chocolate. Definitely worth the drive just for that! Another time we had the soup with sourdough bread and local butter, very tasty. The cheesecake was also delicious with a berry coulis and clotted cream. Come here when you visit St. Columba Falls - it's a short rainforest walk ending up below the stunning water fall.”

Point of Interest
“Halls Falls - Pyengana A well-marked 1 hour return walk to these pretty cascading falls, which drop from a man-made weir at different levels into delightful rock pools. Easy walking. Turn off the A3 near Pyengana onto Anchor Road. Approx 0.8 km up this road is the start of the Halls Falls walk. Note the stumps of huge trees felled over 100 years ago by early settlers. Where is it? A 15 minute Drive from Fairfield House, Goshen.”
