“Lan Kwai Fong and Soho are often buzzing with fashionable locals and trendy tourists seeking a cool place to hang out at trendy bars, restaurants, clubs and drinking dens. Both nightlife districts are located in Central Hong Kong and are easily accessible via MRT, bus, and trams. Lan Kwai Fong is crowded every night and gets especially packed on festival days and New Year’s Eve.”

“Times Square is considered the first of its kind, the first "vertical mall" in Hong Kong. Due to the high land price in Hong Kong, and the higher yield on retail property, Times Square departs from the common western model of the flat shopping mall. The space allocated to retail is configured over 9 stories. The mall and lifts to the office tower are accessible by long escalators linking the ground floor podium and the first level of the mall.”

“The most breathtaking views of Hong Kong can be found up at the Peak's observation plaza (costs money), or for free along the old and beautiful Ludgard Road walking path, featuring beautiful mansions and a view over the skyscrapers. The peak can be accessed via the Peak Tram (often has long lines), taxi, bus, or by walking up the paved trail from Sai Ying Pun.”

“Kowloon Park (13 hectares) is an oasis of greenery and a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui. In the morning the older set practise taichi amid the serene surrounds, and on Sunday afternoon Kung Fu Corner stages martial-arts displays.”

“The area now consists of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, art galleries and antique stores of Staunton Street and Elgin Street. SoHo also is home to the first full-time comedy club in Asia, The TakeOut Comedy Club Hong Kong.[1] Hong Kong taxi drivers usually regard "SoHo" to mean either Staunton Street or Elgin Street.”

“The park was formerly a typhoon shelter known as Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, part of Victoria Harbour, used as a refuge by fishing boats and yachts during typhoon seasons. In the 1950s, the shelter was reclaimed and the park was built there. The typhoon shelter was then relocated to the north. The park has long been a gathering place for domestic workers on Sundays, their usual day off. Since the early 2000s, helpers from Indonesia have come to predominate, in and around the western end of the Park, as their numbers in Hong Kong have increased relative to those from the Philippines. The parallel tradition for Filipina domestic workers is to congregate around Statue Square in Central. A portion of the park was occupied by construction of a slip road for the Central–Wan Chai Bypass project. This was "hugely controversial" as local councillors and residents alleged they were not informed that the road would cut through the park. In March 2015 construction unearthed unexploded ordnance dating from World War II and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force was called in to dispose of it. The bypass opened in early 2019. The slip road is now a permanent fixture in the north of the park, where it runs in a depression for about 150 metres before entering a tunnel portal.”
