Green Wych offers a completely off-grid private retreat experience on 72 acres of land near Wilno. A charming wood stove and a 2-burner camp stove is perfect for cooking meals, or fire up the BBQ and enjoy the taste of the outdoors on those perfect summer days.
Featuring a quaint second floor loft, equipped with a comfortable queen and double bed, and a futon for two as well, ample sleeping room is available. Your cleaning fee includes: bottled water for cooking, cleaning and drinking, firewood for heat and cooking as well as transportation to and from the cabin for you and your gear.
The area surrounding Green Wych is filled with hidden delights for you to discover. A sparkling lake lies within hiking distance, and Wadsworth Beach off Hopefield Road, or Gorman Lake Beach on Letterkenny Road are short drives away, offering quiet sands to relax by the waterfront. Wilno Tavern, a 5 minute drive or a short 3-4 km hike, is perfect for a lovely night out where you will find Polish dining at its best. A modern and well-kept outhouse is available for your washroom needs.
A four wheel drive vehicle or SUV is required for drive-up access to Green Wych cabin. A parking area is available for non-SUV vehicles, with short walk-in, ski or snowshoe, or snowmobile access to the cabin. For your comfort, we will gladly transport you to and from the cabin on check-in and check-out.
Local attractions include a natural environment with some of the best swimming, hiking, cycling, and paddling in Ontario. Visit local farmers’ markets and art studios, plan day trips into Algonquin Park or enjoy live music during one of the many summer festivals. In autumn, the countryside bursts into a symphony of colour; winter follows, with glorious snow-covered landscapes perfect for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing.
