The fully renovated condo is very centrally located and serves as a perfect temporary home while staying in Edmonton. The condo, equipped with a balcony, is two and a half stories up with 5 short (half flights) of stairs. (We spend our summers there). It comes with high speed internet, covered, energized parking stall, south facing balcony and fully equipped kitchen. It is a tastefully decorated, fresh and sunny suite in the heart of Old Srathcona - sweet Strathcona.
While staying at Suite Strathcona you will have access to the whole condo (including balcony) and you will have your own energized covered parking stall. The unit comes with a washer and dryer for your use.

We, Rob and Joyce de Ruiter Kremers, are the actual host of the airbnb, but as you know, we live in the Netherlands, and therefore a different time zone (eight hours ahead of you!) Once you book, you will be given a code to access the lobby key box. The key box contains your condo key. A great system. No hassles with timing your exact arrival or departure. This does mean we need your key on departure. So, key deposit is needed (xxxx)
This is a non smoking unit, including the balcony. If you smoke please do it outside of the building.
Please only use the linens and towels provided and located in your room.
You may use the washer and drying, but please don't help yourself to new linens or towels.
Please only put toilet paper in the toilets. No tissues, tampons, etc.
In case of fire/flood hazard. There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink. For anything else, emergency number in Edmonton is 911.
Please use pot holders when placing hot pans on the counter or table.
The garbage is under the sink in the white bin. If it gets full, the bin is at the north east end of the parking lot.
Please remove all (fresh) food you bring into the condo upon departure. If you want to leave spices or condiments behind, please leave in fridge or cupboard. Feel free to use condiments, sugar, etc.
Please don't wear muddy shoes into the condo.
Please turn off all lights and fans when leaving condo.
If it is cold outside, please don't leave door or windows wide open. The temperatures in Edmonton can drop suddenly and drastically, causing the water in the heating system to freeze, burst and flood units. I had this happen to me once when I was an airbnb guest (my host had not informed me). Trust me. This is not an experience you want!
Please, wash, dry and put away dishes after you final use.
Please use common sense and courtesy in general when using the rental unit.
I am Joyce de Ruiter Kremers, a native Edmontonian, who has been living in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband, Rob, since 2003. We’ve hosted a successful airbnb in the Netherlands for a short time, and now that we’ve purchased a small condo in Edmonton (to accommodate our visits), we decided to set it up for airbnb while we’re not there. Our casa will be your casa!
As frequent users of airbnb ourselves, Rob and I know exactly what an airbnb guest wants - a clean, beautiful, quiet space, with access to the best of everything: culture, nature, and all amenities. Not to mention - great hosts. Suite Strathcona offers all of the above.
Except of course, we can’t be your personal hosts since we live in the Netherlands. But, we know what it takes to be a great host (see our reviews), so we’ve carefully selected a property manager, Christa, to represent us, and to be there for our guests in our stead. Christa will be there to welcome you, and meet all your needs. In the meantime, we will be your global hosts, offering prompt online communication.
