This is a room in our bunkhouse which can accommodate up to 8 people. Bunkbeds, with clean comfortable mattresses. Separate men's and women's toilet and shower facilities shared with the rest of the bunkhouse. Bring sleeping bags and towels.
The Langdale Valley is a hidden gem of the Lake District, a beautiful valley with an array of incredible mountains to climb. There is a footpath you can take from behind our bunkhouse which goes straight up to Stickle Tarn - a tranquil little lake where all the water for our bunkhouse and the cottage comes from - piped down the valley it is then filtered by UV light and tastes fantastic!
Walking up past the tarn you can see the well known Climber's dream - Pavey Ark, it is the largest cliff in the Langdales and a spectacular view. From here the choices are bountiful and if your legs are willing you can cross the moor over to Rossett Pike, Bowfell and on to Sca Fell and Scafell Pike.
Our bunkhouse is not luxurious, it is basic accommodation in the form of bunk beds (but these are full sized adult beds) we keep the bunkhouse very clean and as comfortable as possible. There are only 21 beds in the bunkhouse so its not like a large hostel.
The bunkhouse allows visitors on a budget to come and explore the wonderful Langdale Valley. There is the National Trust run Stickle Barn pub opposite where good food is served and the usual beverages. Alternatively, the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel also provides excellent food and a hearty breakfast.

If you need anything during your stay or want to have a chat about where you should go we are more than happy to help. We live in the cottage next door.
