Our townhouse is architecturally designed to make the most of the limestone exterior walls. This low impact exterior belies the spacious interior with clean lines & hidden outdoor garden scapes.
With underfloor heating & plenty of natural lighting, Pearse Mews is such an enjoyable spot. The (almost) 360 degree view of the courtyard, means you are never far from a view of the outside space. The layout allows for a sociable ambiance, whilst the dining room provides a small level of privacy (should you need to work or want to grab some quiet time).
The courtyard is small but perfectly formed & the perfect spot for your morning coffee, if the weather allows.
Upstairs, and the interaction with nature continues with the roof garden. At its best during the Summer months, it is an alternative spot for your morning coffee on a crisp, blue-skied frosty morning. Or grab a blanket & enjoy a hot whiskey up there on a starry, starry night. The architectural details of the 17th Century St. Paul's Church (just next door) seem almost within touching distance.
The central location of Pearse Mews means that you are within walking distance of almost everything you need.
A short drive brings you to the Sliabh Bloom mountains or Garryhinch Woods or Emo House, all of which provide plenty of interest for the walker.
If it's some retail therapy you're after, Portlaoise is 6 miles away or Kildare Village a mere 25 minutes!
Mountmellick is the perfect base from which to travel the length and breadth of the country. Almost nowhere is too far for a day trip.

Pearse Mews is totally self-catering. Cooking, dining & laundry facilities are all available.
Having been "self-caterers" ourselves, we know how nice it is to arrive to our destination and find it is stocked with milk, tea, coffee etc. Rest assured, you will have your basic essentials here in the form of a welcome pack. Put on the kettle!

While there is a washing machine, there is no dryer due to the fire hazards associated with them.
There is a clotheshorse/drying rack provided.
We have a strictly no smoking policy. You are permitted to smoke in the courtyard or roof garden. Please dispose of your cigarette butts carefully in the ashtrays provided.
In the interest of energy conservation, please ensure you turn off lighting when appropriate.
You will be provided with a maximum of 2 front door keys.
We would love to allow guests to bring their dogs &/or cats along. We have a dog ourselves. However, it just proves too difficult when cleaning afterwards. We are really sorry about this but even the most careful owner cannot guarantee us a 100% hair-free zone when they leave. :(
Please ensure that you close all exterior doors when leaving the premises. We have had feathered friends veer off course & check out the interior. Say no more!
We are happy to help in any way we can. We live close by and are always at the other end of the phone. Other than that, you have complete privacy.
On the morning of your departure, simply leave the keys behind you & continue on your journey safely.
