To receive a review such as this is very disappointing. These villas are brand new only opened less than six months ago. The villa is part of a boutique resort which is how we advertise on all sites including Airbnb it has one family villa and two one bedroom villas, The property has been designed to allow all villas complete privacy. The guest contacted me on the first day and advised they thought they where booking a private villa, I sent a message back straight away to discuss with the guest as our price reflects the same prices on the island for boutique style resorts. The guest advised me they would give me a time to meet to discuss but I then did not hear back from them until day three of their holiday, I tried to contact the guest several times to try and arrange to meet with them to discuss and each time they advised me they will arrange it for another day.
The guest then requested a refund at the end of their trip after using the facilities and when we declined they have now written this review that is very untrue. At a time where all business have reduced their prices to get guest to come to the island due to the volcano to then make full use of the facilities for their whole stay without meeting with the owner and then asking for a refund and when the refund is declined writing an untrue review is really not fair to the staff and management. If the guest was so unhappy on day one they should of arranged to meet and we would of found them alternative accommodation to go to. Our facilities are sprayed weekly by a professional pest control company for any insects that are common to a tropical island, our villas are serviced daily and also sprayed by two full time house keeping staff, on the day of the guest arrival we also leave insect spray and insect room spray for the guests to use complimentary. I personally went through the villas with the staff as I had only just arrived back to the island. For the majority of the guests trip there was only two people in the other villas and some nights no guests so they pretty much had the place to themselves. The condition of the roads to the villa are the best on the island as most of the transport use this road to go to the yellow bridge. The roads on the island are all deteriorated due to the rainy season but the government is constantly repairing the roads. The wi-fi service we use is the best you can get on the island with some of the top restaurants and resorts also using the same service. For one day the wi-fi was down on all of the island due to an electrical failure on Cennigan island due to heavy rains. I spoke to the provider and they confirmed all services where down for the day in which I relayed to the guest. I also needed internet and tried three restaurants and no service was received anywhere, sometimes this is out of our control. I recently had a guest stay who works whilst he is away and booked for three weeks as he found our internet much faster than most places on the island. The toilets and bathroom are not open plan the toilet is in the bathroom but the bathrooms are almost as large as the bedroom with a big open space all of which has roofs and also tinted windows separate from the bedrooms with walls so nobody can see in but you get the luxury of the beautiful views. We do have a restaurant on site but it is only used mainly by people passing by the restaurant guests do not have access to the pool unless the villas are all empty as we advise on our site the pool is for private use by the guests only. As mentioned I came to the villas three times to meet with the guest as we would prefer our guests to be happy and resolve any issues. This is a great value villa we have priced it less than most of the same standard as we are only new and want to get guest in to use our villas, most four bedroom private villas are priced around $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) per night on the island. We have designed this villa to allow people the feel of island life in a very quiet part of the island. I am very sorry Ophelie and her friends did not enjoy there experience and would of loved the opportunity to come and meet with them to discuss further. I had alternative private villas we could of moved them to but they didn't respond to any of my requests to meet. The island does have many dogs which they are trying to control by offering discounted sterilization and free sterilization to locals.
