Belle Vue is a heritage home in East Maitland which was built in 1922, and is surrounded by homes dating back to the 1840s. It has original features as well as modern conveniences. The home is a perfect place to stay while exploring the many historical areas of Maitland and surrounds as well as the Hunter Valley wineries.
The entire home and garden is available to guests and is suitable for couples and families.
Our lovely home in historic East Maitland is located 2 hours north of Sydney, and is less than 30 minutes drive to Newcastle and beaches, as well as Hunter Valley vineyards. The township of Morpeth is within 5 minutes easy drive. Belle Vue is a very comfortable home within 5 minutes walk of the Lawes Street shopping precinct, which has cafes, supermarket, take aways & other businesses - and everything you might need during your stay. It is 2 minutes walk to recently refurbished historic Windsor Castle Hotel. Tea, coffee and basic breakfast provisions are provided for self catering. Many kitchen essentials like olive oil, sauce, margarine/ butter, salt, pepper, foil, glad wrap etc are provided. All linen is supplied. Free wifi. Blu ray DVD player.
Advertised nightly room rate includes basic breakfast supplies. All linen is supplied. Guests have full access to the house and garden. There is off street parking in driveway for two or three cars. Generally access is from 3pm and check out is 11am. Please advise of any special arrival or departure timing and requests at time of booking and we will try to be flexible with arrangements. Cots for babies are not provided.
Minimum stay is two nights, except for Tuesday & Wednesday nights which are available for 1 night stays. Discounted weekly rates available. Consideration will be given to a one night stay on other days if the request is made within 10 days of the proposed arrival date, subject to availability. A one night stay for 1 -4 people would be $335 on Friday and Saturday nights. Please send a message if you wish to inquire about 1 night availability.

We will greet you upon arrival to provide keys and will contact you prior to checking in to ascertain your approximate arrival time. If you need to arrive later than 9pm please let us know and we will make suitable arrangements. Then you will be free to enjoy your stay in the home with complete privacy. If you have any queries during your stay, please phone us and we will respond as soon as possible. We are generally only 10 minutes away.

House Rules : Please be considerate of neighbours and minimise noise. No parties, functions or large groups. No smoking in the house. Please ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy before you leave, with all dishes and utensils washed and put away. Free wi-fi access is available but if guests use our network, they agree to use it only for legal purposes and they promise not to use it for illegal uploading, downloading, or other illegal activities. Please also note the age of the home - built in 1922 - and take care with the older fittings and fixtures e.g. light switches and the french doors to front porch. Thank you for your consideration.
- Although children and infants are welcome, cots are not provided and the home has not been set up with child safety in mind. Accompanying adults are responsible for child safety at all times.
Graeme and I love old houses and historic places. We enjoy relaxing with good food and good wine, reading, watching movies and gardening. Music always makes the day happier and you can never eat too much chocolate. Some fave places in Australia are Hobart, Sawtell and Blackheath.
