The Attic Room is situated in a Thatch property within ten minutes drive of either the Port of Dover or Folkestone . It is ideal for someone who wants to stay over night and catch an early morning ferry or Eurotunnel shuttle. These early morning fares are considerably cheaper than those usually on offer. The room is tiny and at the moment only accommodates one person. we hope to add a double bed soon.
The core of our house dates back to the 16th Century and was the local poor house until late victorian times. We have records that show an elderly widow, and two local farm workers once occupied this property in the 1800's
The property is with a ten minute drive of the historic City of Canterbury and the Cathedral. To the East is the Cinque port of Dover with is over looked by one of the worlds finest examples of a Norman Castle and a Roman Light house.
This is a family home shared with my wife and grown up daughter. Access to the The Attic is through the living room an up a narrow stair case. There are no locks on any of our interior doors so we put a lot of trust in our guest. Guest have access to a shared bathroom/ shower ( This is being renovated at the moment ) . The kitchen and dining room are also shared.
