Clean, sunny bedroom with adjacent bathroom, in large renovated house, overlooking the native-landscaped garden. Free parking available in the cul-de-sac. Bird-friendly house.
The room is fully furnished with plenty of storage (large built-in closet, double dresser), desk, new bed and new mattress. The window overlooks our garden, so you'll hear only birds chirping in the morning. The bathroom, also recently renovated, has a large vanity, a separate bathtub/shower and is right next to your bedroom.
You'll have access to the whole house and the backyard, and use of the kitchen for breakfast.
If you are planning a longer stay and want full use of the kitchen, we can easily set it up. The kitchen is well stocked and has all necessary utilities.
We have some space in the garage for sport equipment so you can bring your bike/board etc.

My husband and I have lived in San Diego for many years, so we'll be able to help you find your way around and will be more than happy to share our favorite places. If you are staying through the weekend, you'll probably see us leave for a good part of the day as we fly paragliders and train birds of prey. If you are curious about such crazy activities, you are more than welcome to tag along.

I am a scientist, a traveler and a paragliding pilot. I spent most of my life in Italy between Tuscany, where I was raised, and the Dolomites, where my family comes from. I think those two places influenced me greatly and determined my love for good food and culture on one side, and nature and environment conservation on the other. I moved to San Diego 12 years ago to work in biomedical research, and have been traveling through Europe and United States extensively. Recently I have been fortunate enough to add South America and East Africa to my destinations.
My husband Dave is american and works in biotech. We have a large house and no kids so we are more than happy to share our spaces. We have two rooms available for rent, but we try to rent one out at the time or rent both to friends, since the bathroom will be shared. We also work with birds of prey so you'll get to meet a few if you hang around a while.
