We love our Longfellow Square location and we know you will too! You can walk or bike anywhere on the Portland peninsula from here and eat and drink at a hundred places on the way.
Our studio, apartment 0, is small but has everything you need. There is a private entrance, a bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, hot plate and toaster oven. The mattress is a pillow top memory foam purchased in May 2016! There is air conditioning, wifi, a tv and dvd player. There
are three units in our building. We occupy the second and third floor along with Zoë's pet grooming business, and Zoë's mom Anne lives in the apartment across from the studio on the first floor. Keep in mind that this is a busy downtown neighborhood and a dog friendly building. We think privacy and a fantastic
location make up for any occasional noise.
Oh the location! We are in Portland's Arts District right around
the corner from Longfellow Square. Within a three block radius
you will find coffee shops, casual and upscale dining spots,
fantastic bars and music venues, a laundromat, bike rental,
shopping and galleries. Venture just a little farther and you can
take in a basketball, baseball, or hockey game (depending on
the season), visit the Portland Museum of Art, take the Casco
Bay Ferry Lines to one of many islands, and so much, much
more. There are two great hospitals within blocks as well.
You can walk anywhere on peninsula which is one of the
reasons we love living where we do.
We welcome pets but ask that dogs be crated when alone.
We can accommodate two small or one larger dog.
Portland is a fantastic place to vacation with your dog. Most
shops allow well behaved dogs to enter, and there are many
patios and decks at restaurants around town that are canine
friendly. Portland Trails is a network of miles and miles of trails
around Portland that leashed dogs can enjoy with their family.
Casco Bay Ferry Lines is dog friendly and the East End Beach
allows dogs off leash after five.
There are so many wonderful things about Portland that we
can't list them all here! We hope you will be our guest and
experience it for yourself.

Zoe's pet grooming business is located on the second floor of the building. only one or two dogs are groomed at a time so there is usually no more than the occasional bark. Guest should note that during the week the first appointment is at 9:00, so there will be people at the front door with their canine companions.
Parking for guests is on street.
If you are traveling with your dog please keep him crated if he is in the studio alone. If your dog barks or howls excessively we will ask you to make other arrangements such as soggy daycare.
I work from home so although I am present I may not always be available.
Please NO SMOKING on or around the premises. No parties.
We are both native Mainers. We bought our multi-family home in Portland 13 years ago and have enjoyed watching our neighborhood expand and flourish around us. We love Portland so much and often feel that we are vacationing in our own city! There are so many things to do and see it never feels routine. We both love animals and spend a lot of time with our two small dogs exploring the City and all the surrounding areas.
