Bright and airy queen bedroom with private bathroom (separate shower and tub!) and separate toilet in a large family home. Let only the early morning birdsong disturb you in this quiet, residential suburb of McDowall, 12km north of Brisbane city.
Your room is upstairs at the rear of the house. It’s a bright and airy room with a queen bed, bedside tables and lamps, a wardrobe, mirror, fan and plenty of power points! The room is very quiet, except at dawn when the bird chorus welcomes the day! You have your own bathroom and separate toilet right next to your room. Everything you need is available, including hand and bath towels, beach towels, hand and body soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tissues, cotton wool and cotton buds. There is also a box of additional items, should you have forgotten something more personal.
A breakfast selection will be provided for you on a self-service basis – tea and coffee, juice, bread, cereals, yoghurt and fruit.
Guests have open access to all of the downstairs of the house and outdoor area. There are plenty of sitting, working and eating areas to choose from. We have 2 TVs downstairs. Undercover outside we have a 6-seater table setting, a BBQ and a small garden.
Guests have their own kettle, toaster and coffee machine and access to their own fridge. Your breakfast items will be kept in there, along with chilled water, and you are free to use it for your own food and drinks.
We would prefer it if you didn’t cook meals in the house. You are welcome to use the microwave to heat things up or the BBQ outside.
You may use the iron and ironing board and for stays of over 3 nights, you may also use the washing machine.
There is free WiFi throughout the house. Illegal downloads or activity is unacceptable and strictly prohibited.

We are early risers and busy people but please feel free to ask us anything or text/email us during the day. We would be happy to share stories and ideas with you in the evenings when we have more time. We know this region well and Linda is in the tourism field and can advise on must-sees in the region. We also respect your privacy so we understand if you would like to be left alone.
Άλλα στοιχεία προς σημείωση
For our own security, we only accept bookings from guests with a complete profile, i.e. a clear photo and a little information about yourself.
We have a cat, Harry, who has free reign of the house so our guests must be open to sharing common areas with him. Although very independent, the occasional pat may be required!
If you are travelling with others, we do have another room available (not advertised) with a king-sized bed. Please contact us for further details.
We do not keep regular work hours and therefore cannot immediately confirm if we will be at home when you arrive. We would prefer you to check-in in the evening and check out in the morning, however we can leave access to a key if the timings do not work. Please check with us when booking.
We want you to feel welcome in our home. We are easygoing people but like our space to be clean and tidy. These are our standard rules and expectations:
• Please clean up after yourself and leave the house the way you find it.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or outside of the property.
• Please be conscious about your water and electricity use.
• Turn off lights and fans etc when leaving the house.
• No late night noise, loud music or parties. This is a quiet neighbourhood.
• No other guests or visitors allowed without prior permission.
• No access to host bedroom.
• Internet usage – no large downloads or illegal activity.
• Please notify us of any spills or damage as soon as possible.
• Kitchen use for breakfast, drinks and snacks only. A microwave is available for reheating and a BBQ outside but we do not allow any guest cooking in the house.
• No food and drinks other than water in the bedroom to avoid attracting ants!
