We have an abundance of National Trust properties within easy reach, with the pretty towns of Rye and Hastings only 30 mins away. We are dog friendly and have wonderful walks close by. The Grange at Lower Barn Farm is a quirky, rustic, converted detached barn designed with a touch of industrial components which makes for an ideal rural getaway. 70 acres of rolling country side and wooded grounds on the Kent and Sussex borders, complete with idyllic fishing lakes, are just waiting to be explored. There are woodland walks, an abundance of wildlife to be discovered and even the 14th century Bodiam castle, a 5 minute ride away, if you’re lucky you might even spot a kingfisher.

Calm Sussex Retreat

Enjoy my beautiful home while I’m away in the quaint village of Staplecross for your Sussex adventures in the Rother valley and wider area. Built in 1845 it comes with a bespoke fireplace in an open plan living/dining room, two spacious double bedrooms, a courtyard dining area and free off-road parking on the drive. Staplecross has a lively local community and is famed for its access to ancient woodlands and walking trails on foot and for our traditional Sussex bonfire celebrations.

Wadhurst our nearest village has 2 small supermarkets, great butcher, deli, 2 pubs and takeaways.

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. It is The Oaks Retreat, WINNER of the Paris Design awards 2024 'best hospitality interior', an architecturally inspired bespoke woodland Airbnb located in the seaside town of Whitstable. The Acorn Lodge is a bespoke 1 king size bedroom retreat fully customized with high-end finishes. It must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Our Wellness area is equipped with a log sauna, a cold plunge and outdoor shower.

Leave the world behind at our organic smallholding hideaway – the perfect antidote to stress and modern life. This is a true romantic retreat for two, with space for up to four (extra bed available). The ancient woodland, the orchard, the old fashioned sheep, the hens, make this the place to unwind. In the evenings, dine and chat by the log stove or around a campfire. I didn't have to move to Devon, after all, because I found here.

Coes Farm offers 50 acres of absolute tranquillity in amongst nature, with a bit of luxury thrown in too! We have formal gardens and ornamental ponds, a large lake, plenty of woodland, open fields, an indoor saltwater swimming pool with hot tub, a tennis court and a games room which is resident in our Micro-Winery! We planted our 5 acre vineyard in Spring 2021 and extended the existing Orchard with cider varieties in 2023.
