When you're all done for the day, cozy up by the wood-burning fire place in the winter, or open the back slider in the summer and watch the golfers and wildlife.

It's walking distance from a pizza place, Dairy Queen, coffee house and various other shops. 17min from Government Camp and minutes from numerous hiking trails. Private A-Frame (for 4 people) and separate studio bedroom/bathroom behind the garage (for 2 people.) Please note: the studio must be requested in advance. The A-Frame is on the edge of the Mount Hood National Forest. • Walk or drive to the Salmon River trailheads and Salmon River Slab. • 15 min to French's Dome. • 20 to 30 min to Timberline and Mount Hood Meadows, x-country and snow-shoeing at Trillium or Teacup. The Woodlands Hideout

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

Located near The Resort at the Mountain, you're only 20 miles to Timberline Lodge and all of Mt. Hood's splendor. The Upper and Lower Salmon River Trailheads are just up the road, and a multitude of other hiking opportunities nearby.
