Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

A lovely spacious bungalow that is the perfect base for exploring the west & north west of Ireland. Only 15 minutes from Ireland West Airport, Knock, our place is located on the Sligo / Mayo border in a beautiful rural location surrounded by farmland and lots of peace & tranquility !! The house is equipped with free Wifi, Oil Fired Central Heating and all the conveniences that you would expect in a home away from home. This is a self contained apartment, tastefully decorated, on the ground floor, with your own private entrance. There is a double bed, kitchen, dining and living room, and bathroom. With your own private patio with panoramic views. The apartment is newly renovated to the highest standard, with gas heating and a solid fuel stove. It was just finished in March 2022, and we are very happy with how it turned out. We have put together a guest food hamper which we hope you will enjoy.
