The small, recently-renovated home is in a rural setting but close to restaurants, shopping, parks, ski slopes, golf courses, lakes and quaint New England villages. The large deck has a gorgeous view of the lake. Four kayaks, two canoes, standup paddle board and pedal boat are available to use on the lake which is known for its good fishing. Two bedrooms, dining room and living room overlook the lake and woods.

Three elevated decks with chairs and a hammock give you options for relaxing and steeping in the forest vibe. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen with propane gas range. We provide potable water from our well. Outdoor shower with on-demand hot water. Simple outhouse with sawdust composting system is clean and convenient.

Wake up among 100-year-old trees, then drive 12 minutes into Amherst. Or hike out the door toward wooded trails. The apartment sits with our house on 5 acres of mature forest, high on a hill and facing the woods. With a kitchen & washer/dryer, the apartment is both peaceful and practical, great for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, ideal for academics needing space for contemplation or for a couple visiting family.
