We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

Cwm Farm Cwtch, is a homely cottage set on a farm in Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil. You can enjoy the fantastic views and scenery, take a walk around our farm and interact with the animals (donkeys, chickens, dogs). Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, The Cwtch is in a perfect location for a number of activities, e.g Brecon Mountain Railway, Bikepark Wales, Morlais Golf Course, River fishing and lots more. There are a number of pubs in the village that serve food and local beers.

James' Place Dowlais Self Catering Studio 3 Sioni

James' Place at Dowlais features seven uniquely styled self-catering studios, perfect for exploring The Brecon Beacons, visiting Bike Park Wales, Zip World South, or working remotely. Each studio has a kitchenette and en- suite shower room. We are dog-friendly with a 22 GBP fee per stay per dog, and bikes can be securely stored in the main hall or your studio if clean. Granary 1 is set around a courtyard with two other properties and opposite The Old Barn Tearoom. The Taff Trail runs past the main gate and Pen y Fan is within walking distance. The property is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park between the Iron Heritage town of Merthyr and Brecon. There is walking and biking from the front door, the Brecon Mountain Railway and Bike Park Wales are also close at hand.
