Acerca de 4 km para Norte, a partir da cidade da Horta, fica a Praia do Almoxarife. No espaço " a moagem" há vida em cada recanto, no jardim existe uma cisterna d' água e uma eira. Apresenta uma arquitetura de traça tradicional, que remonta ao início do século passado. N' a moagem pratica-se uma filosofia com base no tradicional e sustentável. No lugar do Cabrito, é possível observar uma grande quantidade de estruturas semicirculares de pedra, construídas para proteger figueiras e que são representativas do fantástico esforço por parte do Homem do Pico para conseguir extrair sustendo a partir de solo rochoso e árido.
